Under the title Relove the Prelove, Berlin-based artist and muralist Viktoria Cichoń aka Vikunia painted the facade of the Kit Kat Club (one of Berlin’s most famous venues) for World Environment Day. The design addresses fundamental issues such as ecological sustainability and the recycling of technical devices. The painting also used a special wall paint that filters toxins out of the air.
The location in the middle of a busy intersection and the narrow pedestrian path presented us with some challenges, which we were able to overcome with a lot of patience, perseverance and experience. A huge thank you to Vikunia for her flexibility and openness to our craziness. We don’t want to describe it, but not every artist would be able to paint a facade under such conditions.
The mural was produced for Back Market as part of an advertising campaign. It was important to us that despite the advertising function, the art is the main focus.
